It’s quick, easy and relatively cheap to make a salad that contains all you need for optimum nutrition.
Ingredients: Broccoli, red onion, lettuce (or other green leaf), carrot, lemon, sprouts, hempseed oil, extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar, spirulina powder, mozzarella cheese, sea/rock salt, black pepper, mixed herbs (preferably fresh, if not dried – herbs de provence etc).
Method: Finely chop the veg, chop the mozzarella into chunks and add with the sprouts to a large bowl. Drizzle in the two oils and add the salt/lemon etc.. Mix it all up, taking periodical tastes with a spoon. Add certain ingredients according to taste.
Be creative! Use other ingredients such as soaked nuts (soaking over night in water makes them more nutritious), sunflower seeds, natural yoghurt & tahini.
Go large! Make a big salad and store excess in Tupperware in the fridge for another time.
Don’t be a salad dodger! Properly made salad with high quality ingredients is DELICIOUS!
Add some to any cooked meal you may eat or eat it as a meal in its own right.
