WATER/SALT: ‘It is usually unintentional chronic dehydration that leads to disease in the body’, ‘water is the cash-flow of the body; don’t bankrupt yourself’ said Dr. Batmanghelidj of the ‘Water Cure’ fame. As far as skin conditions such as eczema and acne are concerned, getting fully hydrated can really make the world of difference. In order for the water to get inside the cells, the osmotic functioning of salt (not table salt but sea/rock salt) is necessary. Drink plenty of pure water each day and use real salt on your food/put a pinch in your drinking water. Depending on your body weight, drink at least 2+ liters of water each day and take approximately ¼ level teaspoon of salt per liter you drink. Remember that caffeine/soda drinks are diuretic, which means they only serve to make your more dehydrated.
OIL: Avoiding low grade oils and supplementing with high grade oils is a great way improve your skin condition and your health in general. The key words here are ‘Essential Fatty Acids’. Coconut oil and hempseed oil are two of my favourite oils, aim to consume at least a tablespoon or so per day.
SILVER: ‘Silver is emerging as a miracle of modern medicine’ said Dr. Harry Magraff. Silver has powerful anti-bacterial, anti-microbial, anti-fungal, anti-parasitic and astringent properties. Consuming colloidal silver each day and applying a silver/aloe gel to the skin is recommended for anyone with a skin condition. LOADS of testimonials at our facebook group/silver water blog.
DIET: ‘What goes in must come out’. When processed, heavy foods are consumed the toxins have to be expelled through the various excretory organs in the body. One of these organs is the skin. When too many toxins are in the system, the pores of the skin can get blocked as the lymphatic system (just below the skin) works at expelling them. This often leads to blemishes such as boils, rashes and pimples.
URINE: It may sound gross to you but your own urine could perhaps be the most powerful remedy you have to clear your skin condition. Topical application, especially with urine that’s been left to stand for a day or so, is recommended as is daily ingestion as a small sip (hold under the tongue for a few seconds before swallowing) or drops under the tongue.
