Here at the Simple Truths Foundation we\u2019re really into making large batches of home-made colloidal silver and distributing it to friends, family and acquaintances. I\u2019ve personally been doing it for over 15 years and have made many mistakes in the past. In order that others can make their own in the easiest, cheapest way possible I have created docs\/pics etc that explain the ABC of how to make it (see \u2018files\u2019 section of the ‘colloidal silver success stories’ Facebook group<\/a> or the colloidal silver articles in this blog). In a nutshell, here is a list of core equipment that you will need to obtain so you can put together your own kit.<\/p>\n

AN ADAPTER\/WALLWART<\/strong> that is at least 12VDC (12 volts of direct current), preferably with around 1000mA+ (1 amp). Less amperage is ok though. These can very easily be purchased in electrical shops or online. An old laptop charger will also work fine. Here<\/a> is an example of one.<\/p>\n

CLIPS:<\/strong> 2 crocodile\/alligator clips. These are easily found on Ebay or any decent electrical shop. For example here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

SILVER:<\/strong> 2 lengths of pure (999) silver wire or jewellers bezel. I live in the UK so I get mine from Cookson Gold in London (they have a very comprehensive website\/e-shop). Steve LaFontaine of the colloidal silver success stories is from the US and recommends a company called \u2018Rio Grande\u2019 \u2013 with this company apparently it\u2019s best not to mention that you are using the wire\/bezel to make colloidal silver. The product I buy can be found here<\/a>.\u00a0 Steve LaFonataine of the \u2018colloidal silver\u2019 facebook group (recommended) gets his silver bezel from a company called \u2018Rio Grande\u2019 in the US. A TDS (TOTAL DISOLVED SOLIDS METER):<\/strong> This measures the PPM (parts per million) of your colloidal silver. Take a reading of the water before you start making it and one at the end. Subtract the first reading from the second and you have the correct PPM reading for your brew. These can be bought cheaply online at Ebay, just put \u2018tds meter\u2019 into the search bar.<\/p>\n

WATER:<\/strong> Some distilled or deionised water. In the US, distilled water is very easy to find whereas in the UK it\u2019s much easier to find deionised. Both work fine to make colloidal silver. In the UK it cost around \u00a33-5 for 5 litres, in the US it is cheaper.<\/p>\n

CLEANING PADS\/CLOTH:<\/strong> A \u2018jiffi\u2019 pad or a metallic scrubbing pad and some regular cloth. The Jiffi pad is coarse and good for scrubbing the silver wires after they have been used (a grey\/black residue will form on then during the making process). The regular cloth can be used for a final wipe-down.<\/p>\n

BOTTLE TOPS:<\/strong> Suitable for both beer\/cider bottles and wine bottles. These can be purchased from beer brewing shops such as this one<\/a>.<\/p>\n

STERILISING TABLETS:<\/strong> I put a couple of these in a washing up bowl full of hot water before leaving used bottles in it for an hour or so. This makes sure any residue is cleaned from the bottles and also makes it much easier to remove the labels. Sterilising is not strictly necessary if you clean out the bottle with hot water as soon as you\u2019ve finished drinking the alcohol. These can be purchased in the baby section of a pharmacy.<\/p>\n

COFFEE FILTER PAPER:<\/strong> It\u2019s fairly normal for little bits of oxidised silver to collect at the bottom of the container after making so it makes sense to filter the final product before bottling.<\/p>\n

4 X CLIPS + CONNECTING WIRE:<\/strong> This is used to connect 2 or more 9-volt batteries to the wires. It can also be used to convert another electrical power cable (for example an old laptop charger) in a colloidal silver generator. Simply cut off the end, strip the wires back so the cable is exposed and clips the 2 wires to the exposed cable.<\/p>\n

LOLLYOP STICKS:<\/strong> 2 of these taped together in the middle makes a useful silver wire holder. Not necessary as it is usually easy to clip the wires directly to the rim\/mouth of the vessel used to make it in.<\/p>\n

The generator kit that the STF (Simple Truths Foundation) currently sells for \u00a362.50 is pictured at the top of this post. It\u2019s got everything needed to make colloidal silver using a wallwart\/adapter and batteries. The only thing it doesn\u2019t contain is the distilled\/deionised water and a vessel for making it in. Production cost (minus labour) is about half the retail price. We\u2019d much rather that people copy what we do and make\/distribute their own kits. If however, for whatever reason, someone wants to buy a kit from us they are always available at our online shop<\/a> or Ebay<\/a>.
